Public Diplomacy English Language (PDEL) Program for Regional Teaching Leaders
PDEL supports 30 pre-service and early-career English teachers from Batken, Naryn, and Chui/Bishkek in strengthening their English proficiency, developing practical teaching skills, and becoming leaders in their professional communities.
Teacher Leadership Institute | November 9–27, 2026
The program’s core component is a three-week residential Institute in Bishkek, led by American teacher trainers. Through approximately 105 hours of intensive instruction, participants will:
- Strengthen their English for teaching and professional communication.
- Explore student-centered teaching, classroom management, and assessment.
- Practice using educational technology and SI-supported lesson planning.
- Develop teacher leadership skills and learn about American educational practices.
Regional Practice and Ongoing Support
After the Institute, participants apply their skills through demonstration lessons, peer coaching, and workshops for fellow educators. Each participant develops a final classroom innovation project, supported by ongoing mentorship and a professional Community of Practice. Through these activities, PDEL prepares teacher leaders to share effective practices and strengthen English language teaching across the Kyrgyz Republic.
Applications are open!
Deadline: October 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM Bishkek time.
